Connecting your Stripe account unlocks checkout, tips, payouts, and tax tooling directly inside the Sherpo dashboard: no manual invoicing or custom code required.
Why Stripe Connect?
- Direct payouts — Customers pay you, and funds are deposited straight into your bank account via Stripe, after 7 days (rolling period).
- Compliance handled — Stripe’s onboarding flow collects KYC/KYB information and flags missing documents, keeping your organization compliant.
- Global coverage — Stripe supports dozens of countries and currencies, and Sherpo mirrors that same availability.
- Integrated experience — Your balances, payouts, tax settings, and documents all live inside Sherpo. No need to switch between dashboards.
Connect your account
- Sign in to Sherpo Dash and go to Organization → Payments.
- Click Set up Stripe Connect.
- Choose your country. (You can’t change this later without contacting support.)
- Complete Stripe’s hosted onboarding form, entering your business details, bank account, and identity documents.
- After submitting, Sherpo redirects you back to your Payments page and shows your onboarding status.
If you already connected Stripe during onboarding, the button will read Update Stripe Connect instead. Use it any time Stripe requests additional information.
Manage onboarding states
Sherpo displays three clear Stripe states:- Create — No Stripe account yet. Click Set up Stripe Connect to begin onboarding.
- Onboard — Account exists but still needs information. Use Update Stripe Connect to complete setup.
- Manage — Account is fully active. The Update Stripe Connect button reopens Stripe’s dashboard so you can update bank details, add team members, or review compliance.
Stay on top of requirements
- The Organization notifications banner surfaces Stripe alerts — such as missing documents or payout delays. Once resolved in Stripe, the banner disappears automatically.
- The Documents card embeds Stripe’s Connect Documents view, so you can download contracts or receipts directly from Sherpo.
- The Balance & Payouts tab shows live balances and historical payout data, powered by Stripe’s React components.
- The Registrations tab exposes Stripe Tax settings for managing thresholds and registrations in multiple regions.
Best practices
- Complete Stripe onboarding early to launch paid products.
- Watch the Payments header chip — it warns you if Stripe reports
past_dueoronboardstatus.
